As shown by the 00zGFS, it appears that GFS models and earlier models from today still show rain and showers over us for Sunday under SW flow aloft. So Sunday should be a day with clouds and scattered showers and also cooler conditions. The Mon into Tue should feature a continuation of showers as the area of low pressure now currently taking shape off the northern California coast, spins around and thus sends rotating bands of moisture into our area. So in the short term, our dry and sunny weather will be coming to end after tomorrow.
Great job Andy. I'm glad that you made a blog for yourself, and everyone else, to look at. Keep up the posting. :) I'll be a daily visitor, I know that.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you started a blog for your weather forecast entries, that's great!
ReplyDeleteLessee, when I was just a little younger than you are now I started out in the NWS--taking weather observations and launching weather balloons. I didn't have a personal computer, and the office where I worked had something like a 1200 baud modem and difax charts, ha! There is a ton of stuff online to follow the models etc and I'm sure you will continue to get a lot of enjoyment out of it, good luck! --Mike of MLT
Thanks Joseph. Think someone mentioned that there should be some sort feature on here to the poster has to show who they are rather than remaining anon behind closed doors.
ReplyDeleteAnd Brian/Mike of MLT...thank you for your comments as well.
Ah yes, I see there is a choice. And right now it`s setting is on "Registered Users - includes OpenID". So no Anons can post, just users who become members of the blog.

Anyway, quite a nice day out there! 57 here in Woodinville.
Looking at the weather obs here in the central sound... I see it`s 60 in Lake Forest Park and 61 in Kenmore. Rest of the Obs are showing mid-upper 50`s. So quite a mild day out there.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Andy, I like your forecasts too. Between the NWS and your forecasts I never watch our local weathermen/women anymore.
ReplyDeleteI was loving the nice temps today, got some good yardwork done. It wasn't so nice to see how hard the winter hit my yard though. :)
